Terms of Service

Effective Date: January 1, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Laneway Travel. By accessing and using our website, services, and booking platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing our services. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and customers who access or use the Laneway Travel service.

We reserve the right to update, change, or replace any part of these Terms of Service by posting updates and changes to our website. Your continued use of or access to our website or the service following the posting of any changes to these Terms of Service constitutes acceptance of those changes.

2. Description of Services

Laneway Travel provides comprehensive travel planning and booking services specializing in Australian destinations. Our services include but are not limited to custom itinerary design, accommodation bookings, activity reservations, transportation arrangements, travel consultation, and 24/7 customer support during your journey.

We act as an intermediary between travelers and various service providers including hotels, tour operators, airlines, and activity providers. While we strive to ensure accuracy in all information provided, we rely on third-party suppliers for many services and cannot guarantee the complete accuracy of all details.

3. Booking and Payment Terms

All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by our service providers. Prices displayed on our website are quoted in Australian Dollars unless otherwise specified and are subject to change without notice until full payment is received. A deposit or full payment may be required at the time of booking depending on the service provider's requirements.

Payment can be made through our secure payment processing system using major credit cards, bank transfers, or other approved payment methods. All payments are processed securely and in accordance with industry standards. Any additional fees or charges imposed by your financial institution are your responsibility.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation policies vary depending on the specific services booked and the policies of individual service providers. Generally, cancellations made more than 30 days before travel may be eligible for a partial refund minus administrative fees. Cancellations made within 30 days of travel may be subject to significant penalties or may be non-refundable.

Travel insurance is strongly recommended to protect against unforeseen circumstances that may require trip cancellation or modification. We will assist with processing cancellation requests, but refund amounts are ultimately determined by the individual service providers' policies. Processing time for refunds typically ranges from 7-21 business days.

5. Travel Documentation and Requirements

It is your responsibility to ensure you have all necessary travel documentation including valid passports, visas, health certificates, and any other required documentation for your destination. We will provide guidance on general requirements, but cannot guarantee the completeness or accuracy of all immigration and health requirements.

Requirements can change without notice, and you are responsible for staying informed about current requirements. We recommend checking with relevant embassies, consulates, and health authorities for the most up-to-date information. Failure to have proper documentation may result in denied boarding or entry, for which we cannot be held responsible.

6. Limitation of Liability

Laneway Travel acts solely as an agent for various service providers and is not liable for the acts, omissions, or default of such providers. Our liability is limited to the cost of the services booked through us. We are not responsible for delays, cancellations, overbooking, strike, weather conditions, or other circumstances beyond our control.

In no event shall Laneway Travel be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services. This includes but is not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption, regardless of the theory of liability and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

We are committed to protecting your privacy and personal information. Our collection, use, and disclosure of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms of Service. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your information as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

10. Force Majeure

Laneway Travel shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance under these Terms of Service due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, strikes, government actions, or pandemic-related restrictions.

In such circumstances, we will make reasonable efforts to minimize the impact on your travel plans and will work with you to find suitable alternatives where possible. However, additional costs incurred due to force majeure events may be your responsibility unless covered by travel insurance.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia, specifically the state of Victoria. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia.
